GaymerX is raising funds for GaymerX2 #EveryoneGames on Kickstarter! Last year, over 2,300 awesome gamers attended the first GaymerX -- and now it's back with even more surprises for LGBTQ geeks!

The successful GaymerX convention is entering its second year with GaymerX2, and they need YOUR help to secure the space for this year's convention. Attendees can expect more thoughtful panels, an incredibly safe and inclusive environment, and (this year) even a gay wedding.

Even if you won't be able to attend (and we REALLY encourage you to go - the event is a blast), we ask you to support GaymerX and give to their Kickstarter - they're a great organization doing important work and providing one of the world's best forums for queer geekiness. Please help this continue to happen - it's great to see this event thrive.

Give $450 or more and Geeks OUT gets 12 badges to give out to gaymers who otherwise couldn't afford to make it to the event. Help us support this event with your generosity!

Geeks OUT had a great time at last year's GaymerX, we considered it a rousing success, and we couldn't be happier to hear that it'll keep going and getting even bigger and better. We look forward to seeing plenty of queer geeks there - this project is one we support wholeheartedly and the continued thriving of a queer geek subculture is very near and dear to our heart.

GaymerX2 will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel, July 11-13 in downtown San Francisco. Attendance is expected to rise to more than 3,500 gaymers and their allies.

Guests will include David Gaider, Mattie Brice, Alexis Ohanian, Gordon Bellamy, Jaime Woo, and John Scalzi, musicians like 2 Mello and Virt, as well as returning faces like Ellen McLain, John Patrick Lowrie and Zach Weinersmith. Additionally, Logo TV will return as the presenting media sponsor of GaymerX. Along with the game rooms (Card, Table and Video) and new sponsors like Cards Against Humanity, exhibition hall, panels, dance, concert, and mixers will be a special surprise: a wedding. Famously, a surprise proposal took place during the first year con in the middle of Voice Acting 101, sung by Ellen McLain to the man’s boyfriend. This time around, the couple will be having a "Gaymer Wedding" and attendees will be welcome to join in. Everyone is welcome, no matter who they are or what games they play, as long as they come as they are. The goal of GaymerX is to create a safe gaming space where everyone is welcome to embrace their nerdiness.
