Featuring

DAVID SMITHYMAN
http://davidsmithyman.com/
Failing to ever fulfill his true potential as an Australian child actor, David Smithyman moved to New York City in 2004 to try his delicate, uncalloused hands at stand-up comedy. Whilst at NYU, he was privileged to study joke writing from working writers whose credits included shows like Seinfeld, The Simpsons and Late Night With Conan ‘O Brien. Emerging from NYU with a degree in Television Writing and an award in comedy writing, David continued to perform at clubs and bars around the city, until his control issues kicked in, and he began co-hosting and producing his own monthly comedy show, We’re Nice People!, in the Lower East Side (now in it’s second year.) Currently, David divides his time between writing jokes, reading comic books, and teaching stand-up comedy to hilarious teenagers at Gotham Comedy Club. He also does an excellent Ian McKellen impression (but only if you ask him nicely.)

DAVID LAWSON

Performing an excerpt from his video game themed solo show "No Oddjob" which will be seen at the Brick Theater's Game Play Festival in July 2013.

David Lawson’s plays have been produced at the Theater for the New City, Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, Dixon Place, The Brick Theater, IRT Theatre, UNDER St. Marks Theatre, the Downtown Urban Theater Festival, the Fourth Arts Block Festival @ La Mama ETC, Love Creek Theatre, Caps Lock Theatre, Hyper Aware Theatre Company, The Seoul Players (South Korea), Alive Theatre (CA), n.u.f.a.n. ensemble (Chicago), Secret Room Theatre (Philly), SoLow Festival (Philly), Stratford Summer Theatre Festival (CT) and Boca Raton Theatre Guild (FL) among others. Lawson holds a Bachelor of Arts Theatre from Emerson College (MA) and studied at the O'Neill National Theater Institute (CT).

DONNA OSTROWSKY
https://twitter.com/CroutonShield
Donna Ostrowsky is a writer and a stand-up comedian. She has collaborated with YouTube sensations The Internets Celebrities, and directed their hit video Bodega Cats. Her short story The Queer Experiment was recently published in The Collection by Topside Press, and is available in queer-feminist-hippie bookstores across the nation, as well as Amazon.com. Donna lives in Kensington with her two cats and her girlfriend, because they're giant lesbos. When she's not working her day job, Donna can be found playing video games and Magic the Gathering for upwards of 50 hours a week. She occasionally participates in tabletop RPGs and would love to talk with you about Deep Space Nine.

KELLI DUNHAM
http://www.kellidunham.com/
Everyone's favorite ex-nun genderqueer nerd comic. Kelli was one of Velvet Park Magazine’s 25 Significant Queer Women of 2011 and was named to the 2012 Campus Pride Hotlist. Kelli was also given the The Fresh Fruit Festival Award for Distinction in stand-up comedy, although Kelli has never before or since been called distinguished. Kelli is a registered nurse and the author of four books of humorous non-fiction, including two children’s books being used by Sonlight conservative home schooling association in their science curriculum. Her fifth book, Freak of Nurture, a collection is humorous essays is being released by Topside Press in Spring 2013.

Kelli has three comedy CDs to her credit "I am NOT a 12 Year Old Boy""Almost Pretty" and "Why Is the Fat One Always Angry" all which are on regular rotation on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio's Rawdog Comedy Station and Pandora's Margaret Cho Comedy Station. For a limited time, you can download “Why Is the Fat One Always Angry” for pay whatever you want (even nothing) on Kelli's website.

Kelli was recently the expert on “What Is Normal” in Twist Magazine (known as Tiger Beat's little sister magazine), on a page facing a full color poster of Justin Beiber. There isn't even a ironic statement to match that, it's just strangely true.

JANA FISHER
http://janafisher.com/
The children of ministers are known be angels or troublemakers. Jana Fisher is a good girl everywhere but the piano where she says, "Music is my rebellion."

Jana began performing as a child in church in rural Ohio. When the family business uprooted her Florida, she confessed her anguish to the piano, eventually writing, producing, recording, and self-releasing her first album, A History of Sleepwalking.

Ideals & Deals is her first EP since relocating to New York City, an intimate yet lively release constructed around piano, guitar, and light percussion. From obsessing over the "30k" that makes or breaks a big city transplant, to purposely undermining a relationship in "You Deserve Better," to recording new love for a woman in "If I Ever Break Your Heart"— all three songs confess what we'll do for our ideals, the shocking compromises of survival, and the rewards reaped from a life richly lived.

"You don't want to miss the sweet, angelic voice of this self-described 'lyrical folky piano pop' artist."— SheWired
