The advent of Kickstarter has provided indie comics creators with an easy avenue to amplify their work, and one of the newest campaigns, This Nightmare Kills Fascists, a 160-page black and white horror comics anthology provides a voice for artists to showcase their opinions on geopolitics in 2017. Co-edited by Matt Miner (GWAR: Orgasmaggedon, Toe Tag Riot) and Eric Palicki (No Angel, Fake Empire and older sibling to Mockingbird herself, Adrianne Palicki), the campaign seeks $20,000 in funding and runs through July 14, 2017.

Some of the creators writing or drawing stories for the anthology include Ryan Lindsay (Negative Space, Beautiful Canvas), Tini Howard (Magdalena, The Skeptics), Vita Ayala (Our Work Fills the Pews, Wonder Woman Rebirth Annual), Christopher Sebela (High Crimes, Captain Marvel), and others including ComicMix and Geeks OUT contributor Joe Corallo!

"I'm honored to have been called up, and I'm really proud of what I [and collaborator Soo Lee have] added," said contributing writer Ryan K. Lindsay (Negative Space, Beautiful Canvas), adding, "the book has this loose idea of being a 'horror' antho about our current global political climate. But we come at that in completely wild and oblique ways. Completely fun to do."

"My story is called Thermonuclear Hunger Strike, about a man out to eat the president who caused a nuclear war," said Justin Jordan (Spread, Luther Strode), providing just one example of the content readers can expect from the anthology.

Backers at the $15 level and higher will receive a digital copy of the book, and other rewards include book and sketch packs. Aspiring writers may be interested in the $150 reward, which gives you the opportunity for a script review and consultation with several writers on the project, including co-editor Matt Miner. Higher levels include being immortalized in one of the stories. As of this writing, they are at 72% of their goal, so put on your pussy hat and #resist with your credit card!
