Marvel's gearing up for their movie release this weekend, so NONE of this week's titles are from Marvel. As I was reminiscing with my landlady today, where, oh where, did the gay sci-fi heydays of Jack Harkness go? Thankfully, we've got some classic titles this week to keep us going.

SuperQueeros: all that's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, transgender, and queer in comics today!

Earth 2 #25
Okay, this title is fast becoming the Ultimate-verse of DC. This issue we get the landmark debut of a Superman of color, Val-Zod! And he literally has to overcome the twisted, white, heteronormative patriarchy of his newly evil predecessor, Kal-El. The fact that he's accompanied by two golden age heroes, one re-imagined as a queer character and the other as a person of color, is kind of a huge deal. You might want to pick this issue up IRL. When Miles Morales and Val-Zod are competing as box office mainstays, it might pay to have a copy on hand to auction.

Morning Glories #39
Now that the straight twin is inhabiting the gay twin's body, we kind of lost our regularly occurring queer character. Sure his cute French boyfriend is still around, but he's just mopey now. Someone needs to resurrect our gAyPI superqueero quickly! Or give Jade a girlfriend. She's alive again, right?

Hack/Slash: Son of Samhain #1
Cassie Hack is back! Maybe this time her slasher partner will be a girl? And there will be romance? #notholdingmybreath
