Thats right, the Dragon Age: Inquisition trailer came out today and we are excited. The past two games in this series have been groundbreaking when it comes to recognizing gay and lesbian role players long before games like Mass Effect 3 decided to be a little bi-curious. This is in large part due to David Gaider, a self-identifying gay man and a lead writer on the Dragon Age series. Despite his dour claim of "living on caffeine and anguish", this guy has brought joy to many a gaymer's heart. He's stood strong against hordes of bigot filled message boards rallying behind their troll banners and calling for his demise. In his words,
“It may not be much, but it’s not nothing, and people tell us all the time its not nothing. We receive heartfelt messages of how much our efforts mean all the time, and it galls me to consider how the assumption out there is that we should consider these individuals less important than those who say hateful things, that placating the hateful should be more of a priority for us or any developer.”
