After finding success with her comic strip Dykes To Watch Out For - which famously spawned the Bechdel Test, a set of criteria to determine gender bias in entertainment - Alison Bechdel advanced the graphic memoir form while pondering life with her late father in Fun House: A Family Tragicomic in 2006.
